Walsh College History

1922

Established in 1922 by Mervyn B. Walsh, Thomas Edison’s accountant, Walsh College has been a leader in academic excellence for over 100 years. Originally founded as Walsh Institute to teach accounting, the college expanded rapidly, especially after WWII.

1968

In 1968, it became Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration, offering its first bachelor’s degrees in 1970 and introducing a Master of Science in Taxation in 1974.

2024

For 102 years, Walsh College has remained committed to delivering innovative education in business and technology.
